Piers Anthony

Piers Anthony Dillingham Jacob is an American author, born in Oxford, England, on August 6, 1934. He is best known for his science fiction and fantasy novels, particularly the long-running Xanth series. Anthony emigrated to the United States with his family at the age of six and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1958. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked as a teacher before dedicating himself to writing. His career began with short stories, and his first published novel, 'Chthon,' was released in 1967. Anthony is known for his prolific output, with over 100 books to his name, and many of his works have appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list. He has also published autobiographical works and is recognized for his distinctive writing style that blends fantasy, science fiction, and humor.
