Born Alice Mary Norton, Andre Norton (1912–2005) was an American author best known for her prolific work in science fiction and fantasy. Writing under a masculine pen name, she produced numerous novels and short stories across decades, including the influential Witch World series and the Time Traders sequence. Norton was a major figure in popularizing science fiction and fantasy for young adult readers and received recognition from the speculative fiction community.
