The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Facing annihilation at the hands of the warlike Vogons, Arthur Dent, Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Trillian, and Marvin the Paranoid Android continue their haphazard journey across the galaxy aboard the starship Heart of Gold. As Zaphod is sent on a confusing quest to find the true Ruler of the Universe, the rest of the crew eventually reunites at the legendary Milliways, also known as The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, a five-star dining establishment built on the remains of the planet Earth, in a time five hundred and seventy-six thousand million years in the future. After their ultimate meal, a stolen ship belonging to the rock band Disaster Area sends Arthur and Ford hurtling uncontrollably through space and time, leading them to crash-land on a planet two million years in the past. They discover this planet is actually prehistoric Earth, inhabited by the useless middle-management population of the planet Golgafrincham, revealing the satirical fate of humanity's true origins.
