Gray Mountain A Novel

In 2008, third-year associate Samantha Kofer's promising career at a huge Wall Street law firm is derailed when the recession hits and she is furloughed. Offered a slim chance of being rehired, Samantha agrees to work for a year without pay at a legal aid clinic. She moves from Manhattan to the small Appalachian town of Brady, Virginia.
