The Darkest Road

The Darkest Road is the third and final novel in The Fionavar Tapestry trilogy. The five young heroes from our world, having gained power and maturity from their adventures in Fionavar, must now bring all their strength to aid the armies of Light in the ultimate battle against the evil of Rakoth Maugrim and the hordes of the Dark. As the Unraveller’s armies assemble, those resisting him must call upon the most ancient of powers, knowing that if this realm of gods and magic is conquered, the ripples of destruction will be felt across all worlds. On a ghost-ship, the legendary Warrior, Arthur Pendragon, and Pwyll Twiceborn, Lord of the Summer Tree, sail to confront the Unraveller at last. However, all may be undone because of one child's choice: Darien, the child within whom Light and Dark vie for supremacy, has been born of both forces. He must walk the darkest road of any child of earth or stars as the fate of worlds hangs in the balance.
