First Star I See Tonight

Piper Dove is a determined woman with a dream: to become the best private investigator in Chicago. Her first big job is to trail former Chicago Stars quarterback Cooper Graham, but the legendary athlete is not easy to shadow and quickly spots her. To save face, Piper improvises and tells him she's a 'mildly unhinged' stalker. Instead of calling the police, Cooper finds himself intrigued and hires her to work undercover at his new, exclusive nightclub, Spiral, to investigate his employees. As Piper digs into the lives of the club's staff, she encounters a colorful cast of characters—including Middle Eastern princesses and a rebellious teenager—while trying to protect Cooper from a potential threat he refuses to acknowledge. Amidst the mystery and humor, an undeniable chemistry sparks between the gritty PI and the retired superstar in this eighth installment of the Chicago Stars series.
