Chris Ryan (born Colin Armstrong, 1961) is a British author, television presenter, security consultant and former Special Air Service (SAS) sergeant. He gained wide attention for his 1995 account of the Bravo Two Zero patrol, The One That Got Away, and has since published more than 70 fiction and non-fiction books including thrillers and military-themed works. Several of his novels (for example Strike Back) have been adapted for television. He also writes juvenile fiction series such as Alpha Force and has worked as a television presenter and military adviser.
