Robert Silverberg

Robert Silverberg (born 1935) is an American author prolific in science fiction and fantasy. He began publishing in the 1950s and became known for both short fiction and novels spanning social science fiction, speculative themes, and literary experimentation. Silverberg has served as an editor and anthologist, has won multiple major genre awards, and is widely regarded as one of the leading figures of 20th-century English-language science fiction.
