Joseph Quincy Krumgold (1908–1980) was an American writer, screenwriter, and documentary filmmaker. He is best known as the first author to win the Newbery Medal twice, for his children's novels '...And Now Miguel' (1953) and 'Onion John' (1959). His work often featured realistic, semi-documentary narratives exploring themes of maturity, identity, and cultural understanding.
