Frank Herbert was an American science-fiction writer, best known for his Dune series of novels. His works explore themes such as ecology, human evolution, genetic manipulation, and mystical possibilities. Herbert worked various jobs, including journalist, before achieving fame with the publication of Dune in 1965. The novel sold millions of copies and received both the Nebula Award and the Hugo Award.
