
Sheri S. Tepper
Sheri Stewart Tepper (born Shirley Stewart Douglas) was an American author known for feminist and ecological science fiction, as well as fantasy, horror, and mystery novels. Her work frequently explored sociology, gender, theology, and environmental themes; notable titles include Grass, The Gate to Women's Country, and Beauty. Prior to publishing fiction she worked for many years with Planned Parenthood in the Rocky Mountain region. She published prolifically from the 1980s onward and received recognition including the Locus Award and the World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement.
