Harry N. MacLean is an American writer and lawyer best known for his award-winning true crime work. A former trial attorney and magistrate who served as General Counsel of the Peace Corps and worked in various legal and mediation roles, MacLean turned to writing and gained wide recognition for In Broad Daylight, which won an Edgar Award and was a New York Times bestseller. He has written several nonfiction books examining notable criminal cases and trials and has also published a novel.
