Alex Finlay

Alex Finlay is the pseudonym of Anthony J. Franze, a thriller writer and Washington, D.C. lawyer. Born in Opelika, Alabama, Finlay's childhood involved extensive travel. He is known for his suspenseful, fast-paced thrillers that often explore themes of family, trauma, and justice. His novels are characterized by multiple points of view, shifting timelines, and intricate plots. Finlay's work has been translated into numerous languages and optioned for film and television adaptations. He is also a director of the thriller/mystery section of the Leopardi Writing Conference in Italy and a board member of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation.
