More than twenty years after the events of Presumed Innocent, former prosecutor Rusty Sabich is now the respected chief judge of an appellate court and running for a higher office. When his wife, Barbara, is found dead in her bed under mysterious circumstances, Rusty is accused of murder for the second time in his life, forcing him to once again face his old courtroom adversary, acting prosecuting attorney Tommy Molto. As the trial unfolds, exposing lies, betrayal, and a recent extramarital affair, Rusty must fight to convince the world, and his beloved son, of his innocence.
