I'd Know You Anywhere A Novel

Eliza Benedict, a suburban wife and mother, has successfully built a tranquil life, concealing the trauma of her past: her kidnapping by spree killer Walter Bowman when she was fifteen. Her peace is shattered when she receives a letter from Walter, who is now on death row in Virginia for rape and murder, stating he would 'know [her] anywhere' after seeing her photo in a magazine. Fearing his unpredictable nature if ignored, and desperate to protect her children from her secret, Eliza cautiously makes contact with the man who held her captive for nearly six weeks in 1985. Walter's true intention is not simply forgiveness; he wants Eliza to save his life and, more profoundly, to confront her own repressed memories and the terrible truth of that long-ago summer.
