Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is called in to investigate the kinky slaying of a beautiful young Brighton socialite, Katie Bishop. All evidence points to her husband, Brian Bishop, but he has an apparently unbreakable alibi, claiming to be sixty miles away, asleep in bed at the time.
