The Sorcerer Metamorphosis

Merlyn Britannicus has been driven by one sacred dream: to see Britain united under one powerful king. Following an assassination attempt on his nephew Arthur, Merlyn takes the young boy to an abandoned Roman fort for safety and to enlist the help of a close-knit group of friends. In this installment of the Camulod Chronicles, Merlyn and Arthur return to Camulod to find their peace threatened once more by Peter Ironhair's ambitions and invaders from across the sea, forcing them to ride into battle. As Arthur is still a soldier, not yet a leader, Merlyn sends him to live among his father's people to gain the wisdom essential to rule. The story culminates as Merlyn is set to fulfill his promise to present the battle-proven Arthur as the Riothamus, the High King of Britain. Arthur proves himself the true and deserving king when he miraculously withdraws the Sword of Kingship from the stone, swearing to defend the Christian faith and preserve a united Britain. The Sorcerer has fulfilled his promise, the King is crowned, and the legend of Arthur is finally forged.
