The Sorcerer

Merlyn Britannicus, the leader of the Colony of Camulod, is driven by his sacred dream to see Britain united under one just and powerful king. He is faced with the task of educating his young charge, Arthur, the future King of the Britons. The story, which is part of The Camulod Chronicles, details Merlyn's efforts to present the battle-proven Arthur as the Riothamus, the High King of Britain, often involving war against enemies like Peter Ironhair and foreign invaders. The narrative culminates in Arthur's coronation, where he miraculously withdraws the Sword of Kingship from the stone, thus proving himself the true and deserving king, sworn to defend the Christian faith and preserve a powerful, united Britain.
