Gallicenae

As the Roman Empire's influence wanes on its far-flung territories, the mystical kingdom of Ys in western Gaul is on the brink of oblivion. The kingdom's hope rests with the Roman emissary Gratillonius, who defeated a tyrant to claim the throne. Now, in the second book of The King of Ys series, Gratillonius must navigate political strife and religious tensions.
