Moonflower Murders A Novel

Retired publisher Susan Ryeland is now running a small hotel on a Greek island with her long-term boyfriend, Andreas. Though idyllic, Susan is exhausted and misses her life in London. Her life is upended when a wealthy English couple, the Trehearnes, arrive with a strange and mysterious story. Eight years prior, a murder occurred at their hotel, Branlow Hall, on the day their daughter, Cecily, was married there: an advertising executive named Frank Parris was bludgeoned to death, and a Romanian handyman was convicted of the crime. Susan's former writer, the late Alan Conway, based the third book in his Atticus Pund detective series, *Atticus Pund Takes the Cake/Case*, on that very crime. The Trehearnes' daughter, Cecily, read Conway's novel and called her parents, claiming the book proved the convicted man was innocent. Cecily has since gone missing. Susan is hired to return to England, stay at the hotel, and use her editorial insights into Conway's metafictional mystery to find Cecily and uncover the true killer of Frank Parris, placing herself in mortal danger as she follows the trail of clues hidden within the novel.
