Unnatural Magic

Onna is a prodigy of wizardry who can write the parameters of a spell faster than any man in her village, yet she is denied admission to the nation's premier magical academy because of her gender. Determined to find a place where her talents are valued, she travels to the city-state of Hexos. Meanwhile, Tsira is a troll who has never quite fit in with her clan. After striking out on her own, she rescues a half-dead human soldier in the wilderness and nurses him back to health, forming an unexpected bond. When a series of mysterious, magically-induced murders begins targeting trolls, Onna’s investigation leads her to cross paths with Tsira. Together, they must uncover a conspiracy that threatens to tear their world apart and navigate the dangerous secrets of 'unnatural magic.'
