Trophy Hunt

In this installment of the Joe Pickett series, Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett is enjoying a late-summer day when he stumbles upon the mutilated body of a moose, its face sliced away with surgical precision. When a small herd of cattle is later found disfigured in a similar manner, local authorities in Twelve Sleep County quickly blame a grizzly bear. However, Joe suspects a human killer is at work, as the wounds are too clean and precise to be from jagged teeth. His worst fears are confirmed when the bodies of two men are discovered with similar gruesome wounds, leading him to realize that a vicious killer, a modern-day Jack the Ripper, is on the loose in Saddlestring, and the rampage is just beginning.
