Simon Scarrow

Simon Scarrow (born 3 October 1962) is a British novelist best known for his Roman military historical-fiction series Eagles of the Empire (featuring Macro and Cato). A former history teacher, he studied at the University of East Anglia and later became a full-time writer. His work is noted for detailed military and historical research and has enjoyed wide commercial success in the UK and internationally.
