Ian Kennedy

Ian Kennedy (22 September 1932 – 5 February 2022) was a British comics artist and illustrator from Dundee, Scotland. His career began at D. C. Thomson in 1949 and spanned more than seven decades; he produced hundreds of covers and interior illustrations for British comics and pocket books, becoming especially well known for his painted covers for Commando and for science-fiction work for titles such as 2000 AD and Eagle (including Dan Dare). He worked primarily in acrylics and continued to produce commissions and covers into later life before his death in 2022.
