Peter Straub

His notable novels include Ghost Story, The Talisman (co‑written with Stephen King), Julia, Koko and Black House. Over a career spanning several decades he won multiple Bram Stoker and World Fantasy Awards and was celebrated for blending literary sensibility with genre storytelling.
