Sid Marty is a Canadian writer, poet, singer-songwriter, and conservationist. Born in England in 1944, he was raised in Alberta, Canada. His work often draws from his experiences as a park warden in the Rocky Mountains. Marty has published five non-fiction books and five poetry books, and has also released two CDs of original music. His writing focuses on natural history, western life and culture, conservation, and social issues. He is known for his evocative prose and poetry that capture the essence of the Canadian West.
