Chris Czajkowski
Chris Czajkowski is a Canadian author and wilderness dweller known for her books detailing her experiences living off the grid in the remote Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Born in England in 1947, she studied dairy farming and traveled extensively before immigrating to Canada in 1979. She built her own cabins and operated a wilderness resort and guiding business called Nuk Tessli for over two decades. Her writing often focuses on self-sufficiency, nature, and the challenges and joys of a solitary life in the wilderness. She is also an accomplished painter, printmaker, and photographer, with a strong interest in botany. Czajkowski's work has been recognized for its unique perspective and detailed accounts of remote living.
