Judy Willis, M.D., M.Ed., is a board-certified neurologist and former classroom teacher who has become a leading authority on the neuroscience of learning. She combines her 15 years of medical practice with 10 years of teaching experience to write and present on how brain research can be applied to educational strategies. Willis has authored or co-authored numerous books and articles on the subject, including "Upgrade Your Teaching: Understanding by Design Meets Neuroscience" (co-authored with Jay McTighe), which explores how to leverage neuroscience research to improve curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
