Henry Franklin Winkler is an American actor, producer, director, and author, widely known for playing Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on the sitcom Happy Days (1974–1984). He has distinguished himself as a character actor for roles on stage and screen, and his work has earned him numerous accolades, including three Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Winkler has also drawn upon his childhood struggles with dyslexia to co-write a series of children's books, and has authored several memoirs.
