Gilbert Morris
Gilbert Leslie Morris (May 13, 1929 – February 18, 2016) was a prolific American Christian novelist and professor of English. He published more than 200 novels, many of them historical fiction series such as The House of Winslow, The Appomattox Saga, and The Wakefield Saga. A former pastor and professor, he earned a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and completed postgraduate work at the University of London. He won multiple awards including a Christy Award and several Silver Angel Awards.
