Olson studied political science and sociology at Queen's University before pursuing her culinary passion at Johnson & Wales University. She has worked as a pastry chef at the Inn on the Twenty and has also owned a food shop. Her cookbooks have gained international recognition, and her shows have aired in multiple countries.
