Jane L. King

Jane L. King is an author and illustrator known for her "Hector the Cat!" series, which features a time-traveling cat. Born in England, she now resides in New Hampshire, USA. She is a retired business lawyer and a full-time faculty member at the University of Phoenix. King transitioned to full-time illustration in 2017, working in digital art and watercolor, influenced by artists like Beatrix Potter and Garth Williams. Her "Hector the Cat!" series is inspired by the proverb "cats have nine lives" and follows the adventures of a cat who travels through time and loses his lives. She has written five books in the series so far. King also holds a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois. She is a cat lover and enjoys nature.
