Jane Johnson is an English writer of books for adults and children, and a fiction book editor. She has worked in the book industry for over 30 years as a bookseller, publisher, and writer. She is well-known for her historical fiction, often set in Morocco or her native Cornwall, and for her work as an editor for J.R.R. Tolkien's books. She also writes under the pseudonyms Jude Fisher and Gabriel King (jointly with M. John Harrison). She divides her time between Cornwall and the Anti-Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
