Stephen Lewis is an American author, professor emeritus, and writer. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he earned his doctorate in Puritan American Literature from New York University. He taught English at Suffolk Community College on Long Island. Lewis has written numerous novels, including historical mysteries set in 17th-century New England, legal dramas, and a memoir about his wife's battle with dementia. His work often explores themes of history, morality, and human relationships. He currently lives in northern Michigan.
