Neil Percival Young OM is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter, musician, guitarist, pianist, and film director, known for his distinctive guitar work, signature vocal style, and deeply personal lyrics. His career began in the 1960s, and he has been a prominent figure in folk rock, rock and roll, and grunge music. He co-founded Buffalo Springfield and was a member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. As a solo artist, he has released numerous acclaimed albums and earned the nickname "Godfather of Grunge." Young is also an outspoken advocate for environmental and social causes, co-founding Farm Aid and The Bridge School. He has received multiple Grammy and Juno Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
