Steven Paul "Steve" Martini (born February 28, 1946) is an American novelist best known for his Paul Madriani legal-thriller series. A former journalist and attorney, Martini worked as a newspaper reporter and a statehouse correspondent before earning a J.D. from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. He began publishing fiction in the mid-1980s and achieved national bestseller status with several legal-thriller novels. Martini lives on the U.S. West Coast and continues to write.
