Ruth Rendell
Ruth Barbara Rendell, Baroness Rendell of Babergh (born Ruth Barbara Grasemann) was an English novelist best known for her crime fiction, including the Inspector Reginald Wexford series, psychological thrillers, and novels published under the pseudonym Barbara Vine. Over a career spanning five decades she published more than 60 novels and numerous short stories, won multiple crime-writing awards, and served as a Labour life peer in the House of Lords.
