Alan Katz is a children's author and a six-time Emmy-nominated television writer. He grew up in Queens, New York, and was educated at Queens College of the City University of New York. His work is known for its humor, parody, and rhyme, engaging children with various childhood experiences. Katz has written numerous books for children, including the "Silly Dilly Songbook" parody series, "Take Me Out of the Bathtub," "The Flim-Flam Fairies," and poetry collections like "OOPS!" and "Poems I Wrote When No One Was Looking." He has also written for television shows such as "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," "Taz-Mania," and "Pinkalicious & Peterrific." Katz has hosted a game show on SiriusXM's Kids Place Live channel and created various other projects for children and parents. He lives in Weston, Connecticut.
