John le Carré
John le Carré (born David John Moore Cornwell) was a British author best known for his espionage novels. Drawing on his early career in British intelligence, his novels explore moral ambiguity, betrayal, and the human cost of espionage. His notable works include The Spy Who Came in from the Cold and the Karla Trilogy (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy; The Honourable Schoolboy; Smiley's People). Le Carré's writing combined literary style with complex, realistic depictions of Cold War and post–Cold War intelligence operations.
