Ruth Sanderson

Ruth Sanderson is a renowned American illustrator and author of over 90 books for children and young adults. Born in 1951 in Ware, Massachusetts, and raised in Monson, she has had a career spanning over 45 years. She is well-known for her fairy tale retellings, often illustrated with lush oil paintings or scratchboard art. She has taught writing and illustrating for children at Hollins University and is a member of the Society of Illustrators and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
