Robert Wernick

Robert Wernick (1918–2014) was an American journalist, author, and novelist. Born in Boston and a graduate of Harvard, he spent much of his career as a Paris-based journalist, contributing to publications such as Life, Time, the Saturday Evening Post, Smithsonian, and Harper's Bazaar. He authored several novels, including 'The Freebooters' and 'The Hill of Fortune', and contributed extensively to Time-Life Books series, including works on history and culture.
