Donald J. Sobol
Donald J. Sobol (1924–2012) was an American author best known for his prolific children's literature, most notably the 'Encyclopedia Brown' mystery series. A veteran of World War II, he began his career in journalism before transitioning to full-time writing. His work, which included over 65 books ranging from mysteries to nonfiction, was celebrated for its humor and accessibility, earning him a special Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America.
