Margery Williams

Margery Williams Bianco (1881–1944) was an English-American author best known for her classic children's book, The Velveteen Rabbit (1922). Born in London, she moved to the United States as a child and later lived in both England and America. Throughout her career, she wrote numerous children's books, novels, and translations, often exploring themes of love, loss, and the power of imagination. Her work Winterbound received a Newbery Honor.
