Brian Panowich is an American author and former firefighter based in Georgia. He grew up as an 'Army brat' in Europe before moving to East Georgia. Before achieving success as a novelist, he worked as a firefighter in Augusta, Georgia, and was a touring musician for over a decade. He is best known for his 'country noir' crime novels, including his debut 'Bull Mountain', which won the International Thriller Writers Award for Best First Novel.
