Dorothy Leigh Sayers (1893–1957) was a renowned English crime novelist, playwright, translator, and critic. She is best known for her series of detective novels featuring the aristocratic amateur sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey, which established her as one of the 'Queens of Crime' during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction.
