Glenn C. Loury

Glenn Cartman Loury (born September 3, 1948) is an American economist, academic, and author known for his work on the economics of racial inequality, social policy, and applied microeconomic theory. He has held faculty positions at the University of Michigan, Harvard University, Boston University, and is the Merton P. Stoltz Professor of the Social Sciences and Professor of Economics at Brown University. Loury has written widely on race, stigma, and public policy and is the author of The Anatomy of Racial Inequality and other books and essays.
