Gill Paul

Gill Paul is a Scottish-born, London-based author of historical fiction and non-fiction. She has written multiple bestselling historical novels—many focusing on real women from the past—and several works of popular history, including A History of Medicine in 50 Objects. Her novels have appeared on USA Today and other bestseller charts and been translated into multiple languages. She studied medicine at the University of Glasgow before studying English Literature and History and later moved into publishing and full-time writing.
