Scott Cawthon

Scott Braden Cawthon is an American video game developer, writer, and producer, best known for creating the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. He began his career developing family-friendly Christian video games, but found significant success transitioning to horror with the first Five Nights at Freddy's game in 2014. The franchise has since expanded into a media empire including novels and films. Cawthon announced his retirement from game development in 2021 to focus on his family, but retains creative control over the franchise.
