Leanne Betasamosake Simpson (born 1971) is a Mississauga Nishnaabeg writer, musician, and scholar from Canada. Her work spans literary fiction, poetry, Indigenous scholarship, and music, and often centers Anishinaabe storytelling, land-based knowledge, decolonial politics, and Indigenous resurgence. She has published acclaimed books of fiction and nonfiction (including Noopiming), released music projects, and teaches and performs nationally and internationally.
