Matthew Pearl
Matthew Pearl (born October 2, 1975) is an American novelist and educator best known for historical literary thrillers such as The Dante Club, The Poe Shadow, and The Last Dickens. A graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School, he has taught literature and creative writing and has edited Modern Library editions of classic works. His books have been international bestsellers and translated into more than thirty languages. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
